I was able to wear a cute dress on Friday, for "National College Colors" day, but yesterday decided to be practical and ended up wearing a jeans, tee-shirt, and SNEAKERS (the horror!!!) in order to be not completely miserable while sitting in a day long deluge that ranged from feeling like I was produce in the veggie aisle getting a nice light mist, to feeling like i was fully clothed in my shower on full blast. At least it was warm (80s) so i never felt too uncomfortable. And I can certainly attest that my rainproof jacket thankfully lived up to its billing.
Here are a few of pictures of Week One (not too many as I didn't want to keep my camera out of the plastic baggie too long!!!)
How I Spent My Saturday: hanging out with my good buddy Truman, and my not so good friend Isaac. Fashion note: Truman was sporting an SEC patch on his jersey!
Necessities: Rainproof Jacket, Plastic Baggies to protect camera and cell phone, and you know, game tickets!
One of Mizzou's Traditions: the Missouri waltz pre-game!
As for tailgating, we stuck to the indoor variety and visited one of our favorite spots in Columbia, Flat Brach Brewery. I had their famous Green Chili Beer and some yummy pretzel bread. If you're visiting Columbia for a game, I would definitely recommend this spot--when there isn't a hurricane in Missouri (which you know, is most of the time), their patio is the spot to be!
Sigh. Hoping for better weather next weekend for our SEC home opener vs. UGA.
